We've driven by The Sausage Deli a million times and finally, last weekend we stopped over for lunch. Turns out they serve a mean Prosciutto and Swiss on Marble Rye with Champagne Mustard and have a cool jukebox.
Every time I'm out there, The SD is the only deviation from Mexican food that I go for. Try their "Bismarck" sometime.
Those folks there sell Pabst Beer now?
Did you notice the irony?
The subject of your photo is holding up a can of Pabst Blue Ribbon. He's wearing a baseball cap with a certain MLB logo on it. And, you're at The Sausage Deli.
Sausage, beer and baseball. What's the connection?
Milwaukee, baby!!
Don't tell me.... you went home and watched a "Happy Days" marathon after that meal, right?
The purpose of this blog is to tell stories about Tucson through my own personal lens and provide "reviews" that have nothing to do with paid advertising or even tourism councils. Being a scholar of what you could call Hispanic Cultural Studies at the University of Arizona, I tend to write with an eye towards the Latin-flavored cultural phenomenons of Tucson and surrounding areas.
BTW, if you are interested in writing a post for Tucson Querido, I'm happy to post contributors!
