This past weekend Andrew and I went to see Artemio Rodriguez do a wood print demonstration at the university's museum of art. It was cool. He has a new book out that could make someone a unique Christmas present.
Yeah, his work is very bent on showing the dark side of humanity, including U.S. - Mexico relations which I am painfully aware of already. I like art to make me feel something different I guess...
The purpose of this blog is to tell stories about Tucson through my own personal lens and provide "reviews" that have nothing to do with paid advertising or even tourism councils. Being a scholar of what you could call Hispanic Cultural Studies at the University of Arizona, I tend to write with an eye towards the Latin-flavored cultural phenomenons of Tucson and surrounding areas.
BTW, if you are interested in writing a post for Tucson Querido, I'm happy to post contributors!

It was cool to see his work, but he isn't exactly a people person.

"here, you talk about something..."
...?
He has interesting ideas, but as you say, it's all rather obvious. Maybe you could elaborate...?
